The free online resource for renters to find out if their landlord is facing foreclosure is now hoping to educate real estate professionals about the effects of foreclosure on tenants and the possible liability involved when representing tenants in these situations. RentalForeclosure.com plans on launching a series of informational pamphlets and seminars focused at raising the awareness of real estate agents and property managers when it comes to landlord foreclosure. With all of the new laws, both on a local and federal level, it’s very important for our real estate professionals to be up to the minute with information so they know how best to represent their clients.” stated Shawn Shepherd, co-founder of RentalForeclosure.com

June 13th, 2009Foreclosure free rental ads now available on RentalForeclosure.com
December 27th, 2008RentalForeclosure.com started out as a site where renters could check for free to find out if their landlord was in foreclosure. Now renters can use the site to find homes for rent that are not in foreclosure. It a pretty big deal across the country, rentals that are in foreclosure or soon will be. We’ve heard stories about renters that rented a property and a month later the sherif was at the door looking to evict them because the landlord lost the property to foreclosure.
This is a great tool for property management companies. For a nominal ammount of money- $8 per listing untill it rents at the time of this post- property managers can display their listings to the many users of the site and have the site certify the listing as foreclosure free.

Ads start at $8 a month per city and are a great way to promote yourself and your business.
Fair Housing Laws
March 2nd, 2008It’s time again to remind everyone to follow fair housing laws when advertising listings on Realado.com. It’s does NOT matter if you are a real estate agent or an owner selling their home themselves, you must follow the law when it comes to fair housing (or any other law for that matter). Be sure to review the fair housing requirements on the hud website to make sure you’re not accidently in violation.
Please make sure your real estate listings are up to date
February 27th, 2008Just a note to remind our users to update their listings. Today we received an email from someone that had purchased a home listed on Realado.com letting us know that they bought the home and it was no longer on the market. After we verified with the seller, we updated the listing to sold status. It is very important that the information provided on this site be as up to date as possible and that responsibility lies on the users of this site. Please make sure your listings are current.
Real Estate Flyers- create your own from the agent center
January 10th, 2008Happy New Year! Our first new feature of the year has been rolled out in the agent center and will soon be available to everyone. As of now, registered agents can create custom “flyers” for each listing on Realado.com. You choose what information to include on the flyer and the system creates the flyer automatically in Adobe format which you can save to your computer or even email to sellers so they can print them out.
We have had many requests for this and it seems to be a big hit so far, let us know what you think.

We hope everyone has a great holiday season. We are celebrating our birthday by working on new features for the site. It’s very exciting, I think you’ll be very happy when we roll them out.
Most of you have already noticed that we’ve added some editing features like being able to add more than 1 picture, now you can add up to 4 pictures and you can add them after you create the listing in the edit listing panel.
Once again, Thank You and Happy Holidays

Why Advertise Your Home On Realado.com
October 26th, 2007That seems like a pretty simple question and I guess the simplest answer of all is to find a buyer. Hopefully it’s more than that though, hopefully we were easy-to-use, hopefully we gave you the tools you need to market your home affectively, hopefully like the price (free), hopefully we answered all your questions, hopefully we made you feel at home. We hope all these things because we’re not just building a real estate classifieds website, were building a community. And in this community that were building we want all of its members to be comfortable. That’s why we’ve made it a point not have a bunch of advertising cluttering up the site, there is no paying for placement each listing stands on its own merit and the community monitors and polices those listings.
For this community to be successful, as with any community, we need your help. We need your input and your feedback, we need you to take an active role in your community. Tell us your thoughts, tell us what would make you more comfortable, tell us what would make this a better site for you. Most importantly though tell a friend, get the word out about this community of yours and make it a better place for all of us.
Thank You!
Update on new server bugs
October 25th, 2007The “picture bug” that a few users were experiencing has been fixed. All listings that have pictures are now showing those pictures.
